Fruit of Her Hands: Day Four

Proverbs 31:13

[13] She seeks wool and flax,

and works with willing hands.

Prayer

Philippians 2:14-15 says,

[14] Do all things without grumbling or disputing, [15] that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God

without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.

Are your hands willing to do each and every task? Or do you find yourself grumbling about your duties? I love that this verse says to do all things without grumbling so that we may be blameless and without blemish in the midst of a crooked generation. The world already thinks that being a homemaker and a mother is a useless job. Do we want to be found complaining about the task that we claim to be glorious?

Pray that the Lord would give you willing hands to do what He has set before you. Confess any grumbling you have been doing and ask that the Holy Spirit would give you a glad heart.

Application

Make a list of all your tasks. Read through them and find the one(s) that you find yourself complaining about or even putting off because you don't want to do them. Make up your mind that you will now perform those tasks with gladness. You will not be able to do it in your own strength, but by God's grace and help from the Holy Spirit!
